God’s Perfect will for Jesus Christ (John 5:30; 6:38; 4:34; 5:19) was to fulfill the purpose of God’s will in earth as it is in heaven for His life (John 3:16; Matthew 5:17; I John 3:8; Colossians 2:15; Hebrews 2:14; I Corinthians 15:3-4). God’s Sovereign will for Jesus Christ was spoken by Him and is recognized as the first messianic prophecy of the Bible is recorded in this Scripture:  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel (Genesis 3:15).  God’s sovereign will is His permissive will and it always the result of sin and it includes sin. This is sin as a result of disobedience to God’s will of command (Genesis 2:16). As a result of the sin of mankind (Genesis 3:1-6) in disobedience to God’s perfect will, God declared His sovereign or permissive will of God’s plan and purpose for the salvation of mankind in Christ Jesus. As a result of mankind’s sin, in the fullness of time, Jesus Christ came to earth to do God’s will for the salvation of mankind.

God’s love was demonstrated on the Cross at Calvary when His only begotten Son, Jesus, died for mankind’s sins. This gift of God’s love is the gift of salvation in Christ Jesus. Jesus manifested the righteousness and holiness of God in His thoughts, words, and deeds in fulfilling God’s will, purpose, and vision for His life in the salvation of mankind.
The Church Body of born-again believers in Christ Jesus must have an understanding of God’s sovereign will and God’s perfect will of His command. We must be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, if we are to know and do God’s will of His purpose, and vision for our lives in earth as it is in heaven in the Great Commission of the Church.
