The book is for born-again believers who want to walk by faith in Christ Jesus. Faith is the Spirit and life of the Word of God and the Spirit of God. God’s Word is faith and God’s Spirit who is the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of faith (Romans 10:8, 17; 2 Corinthians 4:13). If we do not walk in faith, then we do not please God (Hebrews 11:6). Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarded of then that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:1, 6).  The things hoped for are the things of God’s Word. The Word of God is the substance of the things hoped for. God’s Word spoken manifested the things He created.  God said the Word and His Word manifested the thing He said (Genesis 1).  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Genesis 1:3).  God’s Word is His faith and His Spirit is the Spirit of faith.
